Women Grievance Redressal Cell

As per the guidelines of UGC and Hon. Supreme Court, the Principal Dr. N.S. Rathi, established Internal Compliance Committee / Vishaka Committee / Women Grievance Redressal Cell for providing a healthy and congenial atmosphere in the institutional campus.

The committee comprises the following members

Objectives:-

1. To conduct gender sensitive activities for developing individual respect.

2. To develop policy against Sexual Harassment.

3. To promote measures for gender equality.

4. To conduct formal inquiry and steps to avoid misconduct.

5. To foster a respectful and safe campus environment.

Procedure:-

1. To provide handbook of harassment of women issued by Ministry of Women & Child in the library

2. To place complaint box in the premises.

3. To recommend appropriate and punitive action against crime.

Do's:-

1) Know your rights against sexual crime.

2) Speak up and tell the person to stop.

3) Get information and support.

4) Keep useful records if observed

Don'ts:-

1) Eve teasing, unsavory remarks

2) Jokes causing awkwardness

3) Gender based taunting and insults

4) Intentional physical contact

5) Display of pornographic pictures

Action Plan:-

The committee will conduct a preliminary inquiry after receiving the complaint. To ascertain the truth of allegation by collecting evidences as statement witness of the complaints. The committee will then submit the enquiry report to the Principal with all the proceedings for further action.
